1. Scope
This P2P and Wallet Policy applies to all users who interact with the internal balance, P2P transfers, escrow flows, trust score, disputes, and other financially sensitive tools within the MEET service.
This document supplements the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If there is any inconsistency, the Ukrainian controlling version and the Terms of Service prevail unless this document expressly states otherwise.
2. Status of the internal balance
The internal balance in MEET is a technical accounting tool used to reflect internal settlement states between users within platform features. It is not a bank account, electronic money, deposit, payment account, or investment asset.
3. Feature availability
| Feature | Status | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Internal balance | Available | Used for internal accounting and P2P scenarios. |
| In-platform P2P transfers | Available with restrictions | May require trust and compliance conditions to be met. |
| Escrow / conditional reserve | Available in relevant scenarios | Governed by the logic of the specific transaction or dispute flow. |
| Withdrawals to external accounts or crypto wallets | Unavailable | Not supported and not announced on the product roadmap. |
4. Access conditions for P2P features
To access certain P2P and wallet features, a user must at all times:
- have a verified email address;
- have no active unresolved disputes that block financially sensitive actions;
- maintain a trust score of at least 0;
- not be subject to sanctions or compliance restrictions applied by the platform.
The platform may impose additional security or verification requirements depending on transaction type, amount, risk scenario, or jurisdiction.
5. KYC and compliance checks
MEET may require identity verification, proof of source of funds, or other reasonably necessary documents or explanations in order to comply with applicable law, sanctions rules, anti-fraud measures, and internal security policies.
If withdrawals are introduced in the future, KYC will be mandatory before the first such withdrawal. This rule establishes the compliance threshold for any future rollout and does not mean that withdrawals are currently available.
6. Sanctions and prohibited users
The platform does not provide P2P or wallet features to persons who:
- appear on OFAC, EU, UK, or other applicable sanctions lists;
- act on behalf of such persons;
- are located in or ordinarily resident in countries or territories subject to applicable sanctions;
- use the service to evade sanctions, commit fraud, or engage in unlawful activity.
7. Fees and charges
MEET's internal platform fee for P2P transactions and internal balance operations is currently 0%. If third-party payment services, banks, gateways, or infrastructure providers are used for top-ups or related external payment steps, they may charge their own fees.
Those third-party fees, FX spreads, network charges, or provider costs are not MEET fees and are borne by the user unless clearly stated otherwise before a transaction is confirmed.
8. Escrow, reserves, and disputes
In certain product scenarios, the platform may temporarily reserve part of a balance or transaction amount until a defined event occurs, such as confirmation of performance, an automatic timeout, a dispute decision, a compliance review, or another event described in the interface.
Where a dispute arises between users, MEET may:
- temporarily pause completion or release of a transaction;
- request evidence, communications, files, or other relevant information;
- make an internal operational decision regarding reserve status, transaction outcome, or in-platform return;
- apply temporary restrictions to a user's access to sensitive P2P features.
9. Corrections and technical adjustments
The platform may correct obvious technical, accounting, or system errors, including mistaken credits, duplicated ledger entries, incorrect balance displays, synchronization failures, or similar anomalies, where necessary to maintain accurate internal accounting.
10. User risk
The user bears the risks associated with selecting a counterparty, entering incorrect details, sharing account access with third parties, using insecure devices, phishing, social engineering, and other circumstances outside the platform's reasonable control.
11. Restrictions and suspension
MEET may temporarily or permanently restrict access to wallet or P2P features without prior notice where objectively necessary for security, compliance, fraud investigation, legal obligations, protection of other users, or resolution of a technical issue.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ukrainian law, MEET's liability for claims directly related to wallet or P2P functionality is limited to the amount of fees actually paid by the user to MEET during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy due to product changes, regulatory requirements, security systems, financial workflows, or infrastructure changes. The current version will be published on this page.
